Product Description
Sencha is a Japanese green tea that is made without grinding the tea leaves (Matcha).
Japanese green tea differs from traditional Chinese green teas in how they are processed. Where Chinese green teas are initially pan-fired, Japanese green teas are first steamed (which prevents oxidization), rolled, shaped, and dried. After they are completely dried, they are then fired adding flavour and aiding in preservation.
Steeping Instructions:
Place one teaspoon of Japanese Sencha tea into your cup. Add water heated to 80?C or 180?F. Let steep for about 3 minutes. Do not remove tea leaves from your cup. When the tea level gets low, add more hot water and enjoy another cup! Your Japanese Sencha leaves are good for up to three steepings.
